Title: Home
Author: allie_andromeda
Wizard/Witch: Ted Tonks/Andromeda Black
Rating/Warnings: PG13/R. Minor language.
Prompt: 4 - bungalow
Theme: A family scandal.

At his parents' flat in Southwark, he watches the girl sleeping by his side. Fingers curling through her dark hair, tracing the curve of her cheek, he can't stop thinking how totally fucking lucky he is.

A conjured camp bed in his sister's room, though... Not good enough. He wants to give Andromeda a home that's theirs. Seventeen, and he knows this.

(She slips into his room at night, curls against his side, whispers, I love you, Ted Tonks.)

Andromeda hasn't said why she left, but he figures, hell, this is just the beginning.

They have time.

Prompt: 9 - opera house
Theme: Difficult Decisions

"Hurry! We'll be late!"

"Yeah, we wouldn't want to miss a bunch of screeching Mug--" Blaise's snark turned to a low whistle upon seeing the elegantly-dressed witch.

She peered at him skeptically. "Your mum gave us tickets to the opera. They're only here once this summer."

"C'mon, Greengrass." Blaise assaulted her with kisses. "Let's skip the waterless Merpeople, and I'll remove that dress."

"You're so romantic, Zabini." Daphne rolled her eyes.

She moved towards the door, but Blaise hooked his arm around her waist and kissed his witch soundly.

They decided to forgo the trip to the opera house.

Title: Clasped for Eternity
Author: gelsey
Wizard/Witch: Theodore Nott/Padma Patil
Rating/Warnings: PG-13/R, for dead, er, bones?
Prompt: 11 – magical compass
Theme: Summer Games

Spectres beckoned the competitors. This way, one murmured.

“Theo!” The maze muffled Pansy’s exclamation and Seamus’ shriek.

We know the way, his companion added, ghostly tatters of her sari tangling around entwined fingers.

Pansy paused briefly—Theo and Padma were once her closest friends. The ghosts flitted forward like a magical compass, away from danger, toward the faintest hope of an exit.

Theo and Padma didn’t pause upon passing the jumbled embrace of bones and rotted fabric. Pansy stifled a sob when she saw eternally clasped hands, rings clicking against bone in counterpoint to the roar of the approaching monster.

Title: Dreary Bulgarian Summer
Author: demented_mei
Wizard/Witch: Viktor Krum / Hermione Granger
Rating/Warnings: G/PG
Prompt: 13 – Surprise
Theme: Budding Love Beneath the Trees

Despite being intrigued, Viktor Krum was not having a good day. Or a good summer, for that matter. His head ached now and again from being under Imperius at the end of the tournament, the weather was drearier than usual for a Bulgarian summer, and—the worst part—Hermione Granger had yet to write him.

Then, on a morning when he would have preferred to sulk, his mother had sent him here to the portkey arrival station in the forest outside Sofia.

He started at the sound of a portkey arrival and his angel appeared.

“Surprise!” Hermione chirped. He smiled.

Title: A Simple Start
Author: demented_mei
Wizard/Witch: Draco Malfoy / Asteria Greengrass
Rating/Warnings: G/PG
Prompt: 13 – Kissing
Theme: Budding Love Beneath the Trees

“If I’m only going to get my school years with her don’t expect me to give up Pansy for you.” Yet. The word hung unspoken.

“Fine, but don’t expect me to dodge boys for you either.”

Draco and Asteria stood in dappled sunlight beneath a large willow on the grounds of Malfoy Manor, their ears filled with the sounds of an enchanted orchestra playing their engagement party as they each held their ground.

“And I’m not kissing you,” Asteria grumbled. She looked scared.

Draco’s features softened. “Why don’t we start with this?” Reaching out, he wrapped his fingers around hers.

Title: Forgotten Charms
Author: lewlinx
Wizard/Witch: Remus Lupin/Nymphadora Tonks
Rating/Warnings: G/PG
Prompt: 5 – passion
Theme: Healing/Rejuvenating

“Dora, open the door!”

“Go away!”

Maybe he couldn’t take the sickness away, but he wouldn’t leave. This was his responsibility, too. One night of passion and forgotten charms, the rest was history.

“Dora,” he pleaded.

The door creaked; he saw her hugging the toilet seat.

“Water,” she croaked.

“Aguamenti,” Remus whispered, tapping a goblet.

He kneeled next to her, rubbing her back.

“I’m so sorry, Dora.”

“You’re never getting near me again!”

“You say that every time,” he chuckled.

“This time I mean it!”

“Whatever you say, love.”

If she weren’t feeling so weak, she’d join in his laughter.

Title: Surprise
Author: lewlinx
Wizard/Witch: Blaise Zabini/Parvati Patil
Rating/Warnings: G/PG

Theme: Healing/Rejuvenating

“No more queasy stomach?” Blaise chuckled.

“I’m sorry,” Parvati whispered. “I’ve ruined your holiday.”

“Nothing further from the truth.”

“You’ve been so good to me, Blaise.”

He took her hand and helped her up. “Come with me.”

“Where are we going?”

“You’ll see.”

They stepped out onto the Villa’s front yard overlooking the ocean; humidity soaked their robes despite the afternoon breeze.

Parvarti squealed, delighted, as he transfigured a nearby rock into steps to help her climb before mounting the elephant waiting for them.

Away from her parents’ scrutiny, Parvati dreamed their love could survive as he hugged her tight.

Challenge Twenty: The Wizards of Summer - Drabbles
Title: Sweetest Scents
Author: demented_mei
Wizard/Witch: Remus Lupin / Nymphadora Tonks
Rating/Warnings: G/PG
Prompt: 13 – Raspberries
Theme: Budding Love Beneath the Trees

The Weasley orchard, Arthur had said, was a place where romance blossomed as much as fruit. Remus, for the most part, was wondering how many Weasleys had been conceived there as he stomped through beside Nymphadora Tonks in search of the raspberry patch on the other side. The Order was stocking potions in the wake of Diggory’s death and raspberries were a needed ingredient.

“I love the smell of all this fruit,” Tonks sighed.

“It’s not the sweetest smelling thing here,” Remus admitted with a soft smile, sliding one arm around her waist as she stumbled over a fallen branch.

Prompt: 26 – Yorkshire pudding
Theme: Starting Over

Flesh slid sinuously against flesh. Their skin was moist, their hands touching and teasing one another. She watched her lover, wished she could see beyond the mask he always wore. He pushed into her in one swift motion that had her moaning...

"Jillian, pass the pudding, please?" Justin asked from across the table. She blushed and handed him the dish. Their fingers brushed, and she blushed as the image of Justin in her masked lover's place popped into her head.

"Everything all right?" he asked, frowning.

She shook her head, blushing deeper. "Yes, thank you. Now, about those Herbology reports..."

Title: Your Responsibility
Author: demented_mei
Wizard/Witch: Charlie Weasley / Nasya Miriana Svidrigailov (OW)
Rating/Warnings: G/PG
Prompt: 13 – Ukranian Ironbelly
Theme: Budding Love Beneath the Trees

Charlie loved working at the reserve in Romania, but he’d never been this happy there before. A loud snort rang out through the forest and he checked to make sure Nasya’s blindfold was still on tight. He set their picnic basket down, leading her by the hands to the edge of a clearing, and yanked it off. She gasped.

“The Ukranian Ironbelly eggs haff hatched?” Her eyes were glassy with happy tears at the sight of the little dragons with their mother.

“Yep.” He grinned. “Guess what.”

Her eyes never left the dragons. “Vat?”

“They’re your responsibility.”

She tackled him.

Author's Notes: Nasya is an original witch that I initially wrote for an RP. She was in Viktor Krum’s year at Durmstrang and would have met Charlie while she was at Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament. She’s a Pureblood from a wealthy Russian family and a Metamorphmagus.

Excurare,” Rosmerta said with a practiced wave of her wand as she focused on the cauldron before her. She’d just gotten the last of the party goers to go home and the sun would be rising soon.

“Need a hand,” Charlie said teasingly from the doorway.

“No thank you, Charlie. I just need to finish cleaning this last cauldron. You could make me breakfast, though.”

"What would you like? Eggs, toast, a side of bacon and some juice?”

“You always were a tease, Charlie Weasley. Just a few eggs will be fine.”

“You’ve got it,” Charlie said with a smile.

Challenge Twenty: The Wizards of Summer - Drabbles
Title: Naiad
Author: seaislewitch
Wizard/Witch: Regulus Black/Bliss Fairchild Black (OW)
Rating/Warnings: G/PG
Prompt: 7 - failing
Theme: Grotto Vignettes

June 1982

My grotto nightmare ended when Bliss pulled me from death's grip. Now she required a miracle.

Desperate, we risked exposure, travelling to the secret spring.

I carried my unconscious wife into the healing waters. "Please work…"

Nothing happened.

"Spirit of the Spring!"

Nothing.

I waded further into the sinister cavern.

"I beg you!" I cried, choking back my weakness. "Cure my Bliss!"

We suddenly plummeted into a surreal world. The naiad's shimmering aura paralyzed and overwhelmed my mind.

With turquoise lips, she kissed Bliss's forehead, then mine, and sent us to the surface.

"Please, Bliss, wake-up…"

Eyelashes fluttered.

Challenge Twenty: The Wizards of Summer - Drabbles
Title: Haven
Author: closetravenclaw
Wizard/Witch: Severus Snape/Hermione Granger
Rating/Warnings: G/PG
Prompt: 25 -peace
Theme: Back to Nature

He was walking so quickly that Hermione could barely keep up—brambles tearing at her robes and tangling in her hair, tall trees casting shadows on the woodland floor.

Snape turned just as quickly. “We have to get away—together—from everything.”

As he pulled her body to his, she felt the familiar squeezing sensation. The dark forest gave way to coppiced ash and hazel; Kingfishers broke the silence.

Still clinging to her, the desperation left Snape’s eyes. Hermione looked past him, taking in the small brick cottage surrounded by wildflowers. He felt an emotion he hadn’t felt before—peace.

Wizard/Witch: Mandy Brocklehurst / C. Warrington
Rating/Warnings: G/PG
Prompt: 26 – Escaping
Theme: Starting Over

Mandy wiped at angry tears as she walked the streets of London. She was cold, having left her cloak with him.

“Mandy?” a familiar voice called out. She turned toward Chuck, smiling in spite of the tears falling down her cheeks.

He walked to her, and she knew the moment he realized she was crying.

He lifted his fingers to brush her tears away in the slow, deliberate way he had.

“You’re freezing,” he said softly, pulling his wand out. “May I?” When she nodded, he cast a warming charm.

Mandy held out her now warm hand. “Walk with me.”

"'...thought you'd like to know! Love, Ellie.' Hmph. Bloody cousins," Alphard grumbled. "Is that all?" Sniffing, he threw the PortCouriered letter onto the fire.

"It is your family?" Tutayan's voice slid through the velvety jungle darkness, and then, suddenly, she was sitting right next to him.

"," he replied. "My-- Er, mi sobrina. Ella, eh, se ejecuta lejos. No, ella se... Um--"

"Your Spanish!" she laughed quietly. "Malo. Use English, yes?"

Her dragon-scale necklace glimmered copper, and he noticed her skin had a similar brightness. Alphard smiled. "Yes," he murmured, wondering if she'd respond to the famous Black charm.
