She opened the door to her small flat, thinking it would be another lonely Christmas Eve. As she entered, she saw rose petals leading to her bedroom. Opening the door, the sight took her breath away. Her bedroom was bathed in low candlelight, the bed made-up with white silk sheets. At the window sat her lover. The light from the full moon on his blonde hair made it appear to glow in a halo.
"Lucius, I didn't expect to see you tonight. I thought you had to spend the night with her."
"No, tonight is for us. Happy Christmas, Hermione."
